About
We import fruit,
not disappointment.
Most "exotic" fruit sold in the EU has spent two or three weeks at sea, arriving underripe and flavorless by the time it reaches a shelf. Rareripe exists because that's a logistics problem, and logistics problems can be solved with better routing, not by lowering expectations for what a mangosteen should taste like.
How we started
We started by mapping which fruits actually survive air freight without losing what makes them worth eating in the first place, dragonfruit, rambutan, mangosteen, cape gooseberry, passion fruit, and a handful of citrus and custard apples grown right in southern Europe. Then we built the boring part properly: a cold-chain that tracks temperature the entire route, and customs handling that doesn't wait for a human to notice a shipment sitting at the border.
The result is a subscription box and a wholesale line that gets rare fruit to homes, restaurants, and hotels across the EU while it is still at its best, with a batch code on every box that traces back to the farm it came from.
What we hold ourselves to
Speed is the product
Exotic fruit doesn't fail on flavor, it fails on time. We built the logistics automation first: cold-chain flights, automated customs clearance, and a routing system that gets fruit from harvest to your door in days, not weeks.
Direct trade, named growers
We buy from growers we work with directly across Vietnam, Thailand, Colombia, Kenya, and southern Europe, at above-commodity rates, instead of routing through commodity brokers.
Compliance, not an afterthought
Every shipment carries the phytosanitary certificates EU import law requires. We automated that paperwork so it never becomes the reason a box is late.
